Macy Christian Church strives to bring the glorious truth of Jesus to those who do not know Him!
Colossians 4:2-3
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.
This is our prayer team that meets weekly to pray over the names of all listed on prayer concerns as well as those who have private needs. We pray over the congregation to be faithful. This is our first weapon against the enemy.
The role of the outreach team is to organize and plan events which allow the members of Macy Christian Church to share the love of Jesus Christ to the surrounding communities. This group is also charged with events aimed to aid those in the community in need of assistance.
Our Ladies Aid exists to serve the body of Christ as a Godly wife serves her family. This group strives to provide a safe, clean environment for the family to fellowship and worship in. The strive to provide emotional and spiritual encouragement and support to all members of the church family. They vow to loveunconditionally through all things at all times.
Macy Christian Church offers different classes during the thirty minutes leading up to our time of worship. Those classes are to give every member of the congragation an opportunity to better understand God's work and how it applies to us all.
All subject matter is overseen by the eldership to ensure God honoring curriculum.
We have started an after-school program for all school-aged local youth. Macy Area Christian Youth. The purpose of this program is to show the love of Jesus to our kids. We play games, do crafts, and offer help with homework. There is a Bible lesson each day during the warm meal that is served. Our job is to give those kids a safe, climate controlled environment for the time between school and when parents are home.
MCC offers a summer Vacation Bible School for any local youth. This is a fun and energized week of learning about Jesus and what He has done for us. There are Bible lessons, crafts, music, dancing, and of course... snacks.
Who does not love to receive a card? This was started by our Ladies Aid, but has now become part of our weekly worship. If someone is in need of healing, celebrating a birthday, sharing an annoversary, or simply needing to know others are thinking of them, we shower them with cards. Recipients are both those in our congragation and those in our communities.
And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
